Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Several industrial establishments in the DPRK are getting substantial benefits in their production and management activities by taking the recycling as an important work for the development of their units and pushing forward with it in a planned and efficient way.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex has established a process for producing plastic sacks with plastic waste as raw material, saving a lot of raw and other materials and funds while mass-producing good quality plastic sacks for packing fertilizer and preventing environmental pollution.

The Pyongyang Foodstuff Packing Materials Factory is producing more than 10 kinds of quality goods including plastic boxes and plastic cases of various shapes while ensuring more than 75 percent of plastic waste utility rate in the production of goods.

The Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant has developed a technology for producing glass fabrics by means of scrap glass, making it possible to reduce the cost of electricity production and press ahead with the overhaul of generating equipment as planned.

The Wonsan Footwear Factory, too, produces soles and boots by using recycled raw materials including scrap tires. -0-
