Officials in Field of Preservation of Revolutionary Relics Start Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt Paektu

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- Officials in the field of the preservation of revolutionary relics from across the DPRK started a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

A kicking-off meeting took place at the plaza before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on November 28.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of the President and paid tribute to him.

Ri Thae Jin, director of the Revolutionary Relics Administration Guidance Bureau, made a speech at the meeting.

He called upon the members of the study tour group to learn from the spirit of making Yongil bombs and the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude displayed by the anti-Japanese forerunners.

He said that they should study and deepen the methodological issues for keeping the revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites in their origin, preserving and managing them in a sci-tech way and conducting effective education through them, and thoroughly apply them in their work.

He stressed that all the group members should add luster to their honor as standard-bearers and frontline soldiers on the ideological front of the Workers' Party of Korea in the ongoing worthwhile struggle to usher in a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation, true to the idea and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

At the end of the meeting, they went round the Samjiyon Grand Monument. -0-
