Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- The 2024 Show of National-dog Phungsan took place at the Central Zoo in the DPRK from Nov. 26 to 28.

Present at the show were scientists and technicians in the fields of zoology and animal husbandry and veterinary work and citizens from all provinces who are raising Phungsan dogs.

On display at the show were Phungsan dogs selected from the provincial (municipal) shows.

At the show, the rankings were decided through appearance, special technique, etc.

Phungsan dogs, raised by inhabitants from Sangmae-dong No. 2 and Taesong-dong of Sariwon City in North Hwanghae Province and Kim Hyong Gwon County township of Ryanggang Province, won a high appreciation.

The show highly appreciated the dogs from Ryanggang, North Hwanghae, South Hamgyong and South Hwanghae provinces and Pyongyang.

During the show there was a technical short course on the standard features of the Phungsan dog and on the issues arising in preserving the pure breed. -0-
