Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- An all-people patriotic campaign is being conducted to make the capital city of Pyongyang more beautiful.

This year alone, tens of kilometers of roads have been improved, 300 000 square meters of green belt has been newly created in various places and the appearance of streets and villages is being changed day by day in Pyongyang Municipality.

The municipality organized the work to encourage officials and working people to devote their patriotic devotion to sprucing up the capital city into a modern civilized one of the Korean style.

All units have made successes in the spring cleaning campaign by keeping pace with the work including the supply of manpower and materials.

Amid the growing enthusiasm of the officials and working people to make the streets and villages more beautiful, seven dongs and more than 1 500 neighborhood units won the title of the Loyal July 11 Red Flag Dong and Neighborhood Unit (including double and triple) this year. -0-
