Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- The first fertilizer spraying was conducted on the vast reed field of Pidan Island (Sindo County of North Phyongan Province) in the DPRK.

Sindo County has made a great effort to provide necessary conditions on the basis of experience gained in the course of fertilizer spraying by planes in the past.

The pilots flew over the reed field to spray fertilizer over hundreds of hectares of land every day.

After fertilizer spraying, officials and working people in the county are directing efforts to cultivating reeds with enthusiasm to bring about a rich harvest.

The county is making preparations for the second fertilizer spraying according to a well thought-out plan. -0-
