Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the fruit farming sector of the DPRK direct efforts to the pruning of fruit trees in winter.

Those in Pukchong County are doing pruning as required by the technical norms, while putting the main stress on branch thinning and bending to suit the characters of species and growth state of fruit trees.

The Anak Fruit Farm is applying a rational method to promote flower-bud formation while striving to improve the aeration and sunshine conditions and shape fruit trees favorable for mechanization.
