Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Fishery units in Kangwon Province are directing efforts to winter fishing and aquicultural production while consolidating their material and technical foundations.

The Songdowon Fishery Station is strengthening its own technical force and launching a mass technical innovation movement to increase the operation rate of fishing boats, thus fulfilling its fishing plan.

The Thongchon Fishery Station is increasing the haul of fish per netting by boosting contacts among fishing boats according to winter conditions and the motion of shoals and conducting mobile fishing activities.

Employees of the Wonsan Marine Product Processing Station and other units fully secured buoys and ropes and created more culture grounds.

The Thongchon Ship Repair Factory and the Wonsan General Fishing Implement Factory are exploiting internal reserves and potentials and securing necessary equipment by themselves to provide a guarantee for increased production. -0-
