Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- A press statement on the talks between the foreign ministers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation was released on October 27.
The press statement is as follows:
Talks between Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Sergey Lavrov, foreign minister of the Russian Federation, were held in Moscow on Oct. 27 at a time when the strategic and alliance character of the relations between the two countries has been further consolidated and their might and vitality have been fully demonstrated under the outstanding and seasoned guidance of the heads of state of the two countries.
At the talks, they had constructive and beneficial strategic communication with the main emphasis on the results of implementation of the top-level agreement between the heads of state, the high-level visits and multi-faceted cooperation plan between the two countries and diplomatic coordination on the major pending international issues of common concern, and they reached a consensus of views on all the issues discussed.
Recognizing that the comradely relations of friendship between the heads of state of both countries serve as the most powerful driving force guaranteeing the solidity and future purposefulness of the development of the DPRK-Russia relations, both sides reaffirmed their will to accelerate the multifaceted development of the bilateral relations under the strategic leadership at the highest level.
The Russian side expressed full support for the DPRK side's efforts and measures to firmly defend the state's present position, security interests and sovereign rights, and the DPRK side expressed invariable sympathy and support for all the measures taken by the Russian side to remove the root cause of the Ukrainian dispute and attain the strategic goal of special military operations. -0-
