DPRK Players Back Home

Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- DPRK players returned home after taking part in the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World championship Division II, Group 2.

They won the trophy and gold medal at the championship held in Türkiye from April 1 to 7. Kim Un Hyang won the best player prize and Jang Hyang, Jong Su Hyon, Ryu Sol Mi, Jo Kum Hyang and Ri Pom the technical prize.

The players were greeted at Pyongyang Railway Station on Friday by Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Il Guk, Minister of Land and Environment Protection Kim Kyong Jun who is chairman of the Ice Hockey Association, Chairman of the C.C., General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea Pak In Chol who is member of the National Sports Guidance Committee, officials concerned and officials in the sports field and the families.

Sportspersons presented bouquets to the players and coaches, congratulating them on their success. -0-
