Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The production of silk thread and silk cotton has increased by more than 120 percent on a daily average as compared with the same period of last year at the silk milks across the DPRK.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill has taken measures to supply raw and other materials and paid attention to solving problems arising in improving the quality of products.

The Hamhung Silk Mill has directed efforts to improving the performance of automatic silk spinning machines and providing spares by itself.

The Kangso Silk Mill has raised the daily production through a drive for increased production.

The Huichon Silk Mill is also striving to produce more silk goods including silk thread and silk cotton. -0-
