Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province in the DPRK is directing efforts to improving the ability of all the students by enhancing the quality of basic education.

The province made sure that the provincial teaching institute made teaching data to send them to the city and county teachers' retraining institutes and conducted a short course on improving the quality of basic education in Sonchon County, which was selected as a model.

It also generalizes excellent teaching methods in all areas and makes teachers of rural schools improve their qualifications with the help of instructors of the city and county teachers' retraining institutes.

Meanwhile, it has reviewed the work for improving the quality of basic education in cities and counties before taking measures to raise the zeal for regional emulation. -0-
