Coal Production Increased in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- Coal mines in the Kangdong area of the DPRK are striving to implement the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Kangdong Area Coal Mining Complex has fulfilled its daily coal production plan by intensifying the ideological work to arouse the masses to the implementation of the tasks for this year.

Officials and workers of the Hukryong Coal Mine launched a drive for increased production, and Kangdong and other coal mines are carrying out their daily quotas without fail through a brisk mass movement. -0-
