Sports Schools in Pyongyang Improve Teaching and Training

Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- Various sports schools in Pyongyang are teaching and training students in a more scientific way.

Officials and instructors of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, the Pyongyang Municipal Sports Bureau and the relevant unit have developed and introduced Korean-style advantageous teaching and training methods in order to train more promising sportspersons.

Pyongyang International Football School has conducted physical and technical examinations of students on a weekly and monthly basis by using the newly-developed multi-purpose physical-ability measuring device and applied training means and methods suited to their level and ability to the teaching and training. Its instructors strive to raise the students' ability by introducing training methods to improve the judgment in an unexpected situation, teamwork ability and agility of movements.

The athletics instructors at Sports School under the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports have developed and utilized auxiliary training apparatuses effective in perfecting basic technology movements of students, thus improving the quality of teaching and training.

The auxiliary training apparatuses manufactured by volleyball and table-tennis instructors at extracurricular sports schools in Sosong and Songyo districts are drawing the attention of experts.

Pyongyang Municipal Football School and Taedonggang District Extracurricular Sports School are developing and applying effective teaching and training methods suited for the age and psychological characteristics of students. -0-
