Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Officials and employees of the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm in the DPRK have a good vegetable crop in all seasons by raising the enthusiasm for the collective emulation by dint of science and technology.

Thanks to the devoted efforts of the officials and workers, the output and variety increased considerably last year compared with the first year when the farm was built.

The farm introduced advanced farming methods and a rational nutrient-solution applying method for phased cultivation, thus making it possible to raise the weight and sugar degree of fruit vegetables.

The yield of lettuce, pumpkin and other vegetables is hundreds of tons thanks to the efforts to put the production on a more intensive basis.

The project for expanding a variety of vegetables was pushed forward with in a planned way to increase a variety of tasty and nutritious vegetables.

The farm over-fulfilled its vegetable production plan by 22 percent last year and won the socialist emulation for boosting greenhouse vegetable output. And it produces various kinds of tasty and nutritious vegetables in large quantities, generalizing its successes and experience and thus contributes to improving the people's diet. -0-
