Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- The power industrial sector of the DPRK directs efforts to creating new generating capacity while making effective use of the existing capacity.
It is working out the plans to keep and increase the power production in a stable way by ensuring the normal operation of generating equipment and improving the production capacity.
A step is taken to raise the efficiency of operation of power stations while introducing an integrated water management system and conducting the overhaul of hydro-power equipment and structures in a qualitative way.
Discussed are ways for increasing the production of electricity at thermal power plants by propelling the overhaul of boilers and turbo-generators and operating equipment at full capacity.
Successes are being made in production amid the intensified scientific and innovative operation for creating new generating capacity and the growing enthusiasm of power producers.
High production results have been witnessed at the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, East Pyongyang and Chongchongang thermal power plants and Suphung, Hochongang and Jangjingang power stations. -0-
