Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- Tens of young people in Jagang Province of the DPRK have volunteered to work at difficult and labor-consuming sectors of socialist construction.
Discharged soldiers in Kanggye City and Kophung and Sijung counties decided to work at the revolutionary posts called by the Workers' Party of Korea.
Young people in Manpho City, Jonchon County and other areas volunteered for raw material base stations.
A large number of youth league members in Huichon City, Rangnim, Jasong and Songgan counties and other areas of the province advanced into city and county construction brigades and stockbreeding bases.
A meeting took place at the Jagang Provincial Art Theatre on January 20 to congratulate the volunteers.
Present there were Jon Yong Jae, secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the WPK, youth league officials and youth and students. The volunteer certificates were conferred on those volunteers and a congratulatory address and speeches made.
At the end of the meeting, a congratulatory performance was given by the members of the provincial youth mobile explanation team. Then the volunteers left for new posts amid the warm send-off by officials and youth and students. -0-
