Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- On August 20, 1945, when the whole country was filled with the emotion of liberation, President Kim Il Sung made a historic speech "On Founding the Party, State and Armed Forces in the Liberated Homeland" before military and political cadres.

In his speech, he set forth the idea of steadily advancing the Korean revolution and building a prosperous, independent and sovereign state by the Korean people themselves on the basis of the successes they achieved in the historic cause of national liberation, and the three tasks of building the Party, state and army.

The speech reflects the transparent independent stand that the building of a new country should be carried out by our own efforts, not by anyone, and in our own way, not in other's way, in conformity with the actual conditions of our country, just as the historic cause of national liberation was accomplished by our people.

Thanks to the wise leadership of the President, a Juche-type revolutionary party was founded on October 10, 1945, the Korean People's Army, the revolutionary regular armed forces, on February 8, 1948 and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on September 9 that year.

The undying feats of the President who set forth the original line of building a new country and accomplished the cause of building the Party, state and army after the liberation are shining forever along with the proud history of the prosperous DPRK. -0-
