Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- Among the edifices built under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea which is steadily improving the public health work is the Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory.

The factory is associated with the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who spares nothing for safeguarding the people's lives and promoting their health.

One day in January 2018, he visited the factory and made rounds of various places to learn in detail about the production.

He stressed the need to update the Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory in order to produce more medicines, an important material basis for giving full play to the true advantages of the people-oriented public health system in the country and one of basic means for preventive and curative treatment and to supply them to the people, and set forth important tasks for it.

Thanks to his personal initiative and energetic guidance, the factory has been turned into a modern and comprehensive medicine production base.

After its inauguration, workers and technicians of the factory fully ensured the standard of quality in each process to make the production lines of various medicines correspond to the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

The medicines produced at the factory are sent to the hospitals and pharmacies across the country, contributing to promoting the people's health. -0-
