Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- The newly-built regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties of the DPRK are concentrating efforts on expanding a variety of products and improving their quality. And they are also operating all the production lines at full capacity.

Foodstuff factories are striving to produce more and better soybean paste, soy sauce, oil, sweets, cakes, fruit juice, etc. with the locally available raw materials.

In April, 20 foodstuff factories in 20 cities and counties produced much more foodstuffs of various kinds than last month.

Employees of daily necessities factories in Kim Hyong Jik, Usi and Tongsin counties are making innovations every day in the production of laundry soaps, various kinds of plastic goods and wooden products.

Officials and employees of the garment factories in Songchon, Sukchon and Yonthan counties and other cities and counties are directing efforts to developing new goods to produce various styles of clothes suited to the tastes of regional people.

Residents of 20 cities and counties, who use various quality foodstuffs and daily necessities with their regional trademarks, are determined to do more for the grateful country, feeling the validity and vitality of the Workers' Party of Korea's regional development policy. -0-
