Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- The Institute of Agro-chemicalization under the Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the DPRK developed a mixed herbicide.

The newly developed mixed herbicide is efficacious for completely removing all aquatic weeds by suppressing photosynthesis, energy metabolism and protein synthesis after infiltration into shoots, roots, stems and leaves of various weeds growing in rice fields.

In particular, it can root out different kinds of weeds which are propagated in large quantities due to the recent high temperature.

The herbicide has great economic value as it keeps its efficacy for more than several ten days.

It is proved in practice at farms across the country that its effect of weeding is very high.

The institute is taking measures to further increase the introduction effect of the mixed herbicide while consolidating its success. -0-
