Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- The main rivers of Kangdong County in Pyongyang have been improved.

Officials and working people in the municipality have dredged over 885 230 cubic meters of beds of main rivers and built retaining walls in the section extending 30-odd kilometers for over 70 days.

Therefore, a large area of new land was created and several hectares of lands were restored.

The successes achieved in the river improvement in Kangdong County show that when the land management is steadily carried out, the regional changes can be brought about as intended by the Workers' Party of Korea. -0-
