Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The fruit production units across the DPRK have finished planting more than 6.2 million high-yielding fruit trees and rotating fruit trees in over 5 600 hectares of areas this year.

Officials and working people of the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm are manuring and cultivating fruit trees after finishing planting hundreds of thousands of fruit trees in a right time.

The Pyongyang Fruit Farm and the Sukchon Youth Fruit Farm have rotated fruit trees with high-yielding ones with high productivity and ones resisting drought, rainy wind and cold.

South Hwanghae Province finished rotating fruit trees in nearly 1 000 hectares of areas in a short span of time.

North Hwanghae Province selected varieties suited to the natural and geographical conditions of the region and finished planting fruit trees and is directing efforts to their nutrition management.

Officials and working people of Pukchong, Hamju and Yonggwang counties of South Hamgyong Province over-fulfilled their daily plans of tree planting while concentrating efforts on raising the rate of rooting.
