Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- Ryanggang Province of the DPRK focuses its attention on the prevention of forest fires and takes the foresighted measures.

Hundreds of observation posts have been readjusted.

The firebreak extending over 1 000 km has been repaired and maintained at hundreds of places in the province. And the work to remove the danger factors that may cause forest fires is being done by different regions and units.

Fire surveillance is intensified at TV relay stations and mobile network bases.

Twigs of trees around the towers and in the power line sections are being removed to prevent fires. -0-
