Successes Witnessed in Pyongyang Railway Bureau

Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Railway Bureau in the DPRK is organizing and directing transport in a mobile way, taking operational and technical measures to improve the traffic capacity of trains.

The Sariwon and Sunchon sleeper production companies are producing and supplying sleepers in time, thus contributing to speeding up the replacing of all existing wooden sleepers with concrete ones.

The Sunchon and Haeju trackmen's teams are pushing ahead with the replacement of sleepers to enhance the intensity of railways. The Sinsongchon railway structure repairing team and other units are repairing and reinforcing tunnels, railway bridges and retaining walls to improve the safety of train operation.

The West Pyongyang, Sinsongchon and Pukchang service brigades of engine are carrying more freight than planned by concentrating efforts on increasing the actual operation rate of locomotives and reducing the turnaround time of freight wagons.

The Pyongyang Marshalling Yard Passenger and Freight Car Corps, the Sunchon and Pukchang passenger and freight car corps are making a contribution to the normal operation of trains by meticulously repairing and maintaining the wagons of intensive transport trains.

The workers of the Sunchon, Pukchang and Haeju railway branch bureaus are increasing the transport through the May 18 non-breakdown, on-schedule operation and extra-traction movement. -0-
