Floral Tribute Paid to Statues of Great Leaders

Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students in the DPRK visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in different parts of the country on July 27, the V-Day.

Placed before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill were flower baskets in the names of the Party, power and armed forces organs, social organizations, ministries, national agencies, units of the Korean People's Army and the Public Security Forces and institutions, industrial establishments and universities at all levels in Pyongyang, and bouquets and flowers.

The masses made bows, recollecting with deep emotion the noble revolutionary careers and immortal exploits of the peerlessly great men who had won miraculous victories in the sacred war for frustrating the imperialist tyranny with their outstanding military idea and rare commanding art and consolidated the eternal foundation for the prosperity of the country and the wellbeing of the people.

Flower baskets in the names of units of the KPA and the PSF, institutions and enterprises were laid before the statues of the peerlessly great men in different parts of Pyongyang, including Kim Il Sung University and the Ministry of National Defence.

Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students across the country visited the statues of the great leaders in their residential areas to pay tribute to them. -0-
