Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Friday:

- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to a woman centenarian living in Chongdan County, South Hwanghae Province.

- A national symposium took place to mark the 50th anniversary of the start of the Three-Revolution Red Flag Movement.

- Pak Thae Song, premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met the foreign minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

- The Lao foreign minister visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and paid tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

- Choe Ryong Hae, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, received the credentials from the Indian ambassador to the DPRK.

- DPRK Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui released a press statement stressing that G7 has no right to oppose the DPRK's sovereign option.
