Many Vocational Technology Colleges Modernized in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- Many vocational technology colleges across the DPRK have been modernized to prove their worth in training skilled workers, according to Rodong Sinmun.

Graduates of those colleges played a big role in raising the variety of products almost treble at new regional-industry factories as compared with the early days of their inauguration.

North Hwanghae Province directed efforts to building vocational technology colleges into the hub for training skilled workers. As a result, it trained hundreds of skilled workers in different jobs last year.

Janggang and Rangnim counties in Jagang Province readjusted classrooms of the colleges in conformity with major subjects and conducted the work to improve the qualifications of teachers. And they have ensured that students of the colleges practice at the newly-built modern regional-industry factories.

Cities and counties in North Phyongan Province including Jongju City and Unsan County, are pushing ahead with the work to lay material and technical foundations for the vocational technology colleges.

South Hamgyong Province and other provinces are training many skilled workers with occupational expertise and practical abilities by enhancing the function and role of vocational technology colleges. -0-
