Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The 38th Science and Technology Festival of Kim Chaek University of Technology took place from Feb. 4 to 7.

The festival was divided into a machine and transport panel, an IT and communications panel and an electron and automation panel. Presented there were more than 270 sci-tech achievements contributable to the country's economic development and the improvement of the people's standard of living.

The integrated manufacturing system of regional-industry factories and achievements in improving the productivity and quality of heavy rail steel and putting hamburger production line on an unmanned basis which reflected the creative spirit of teachers and researchers of the university drew the attention of visitors.

During the festival, successes and experience were widely shared and transferred through the presentation and examination of valuable sci-tech proposals and technical exchange among visitors.

Trophies and prizes were awarded to the units and members that were highly appreciated. -0-
