Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- The Kyongam Tile Factory in the DPRK is combining science and technology with production.

The factory over-fulfilled its national economic plan for this year by introducing dozens of valuable technical innovation plans and inventions into production.

It is concentrating on diversifying building materials while organizing the competition among workshops and workteams and technical innovation prize contest and finding out the way to improve the quality indices by comparing their products with those of the advanced units.

It set a scientific mixing ratio according to raw material conditions and remodeled the heating furnaces to lower the standard of raw materials consumption per unit.

It laid a foundation for making and supplying water glass necessary for tile production by itself and is stepping up the project for establishing the new processes of plastic tiles and pipes. -0-
