Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Coal Industry of the DPRK has secured more than 2 700 reserve cutting faces this year, thus laying the foundation for revitalizing production.

True to the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on strengthening the production foundations of coal mines and promoting the work to increase coal production, the officials of the ministry and the relevant units found an important way to normalize production at a high level in increasing reserve cutting faces and scrupulously conducted the operation and command for all the coal mines to secure enough new coal fields.

Officials and coal miners of the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex secured hundreds of reserve cutting faces by giving definite precedence to tunneling.

The Pukchang Area Youth Coal-mining Complex is developing new coal fields by consolidating material and technical foundations of high-speed tunneling units.

The Kaechon and the Kujang area coal-mining complexes provided spare parts, meticulously conducted the management of equipment and technical control and raised the technical knowledge and skills of tunneling workers.

The Tukjang Area Coal-mining Complex over-fulfilled its tunneling assignments by raising the enthusiasm for the socialist emulation to launch a high-speed tunneling movement while confirming the overall prospecting deposits and concentrating efforts and means on tunneling. -0-
