Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- The metallurgical industrial sector of the DPRK is laying the foundation for increasing production by steadily increasing its sci-tech force.
The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex increased the repair cycle of blast furnaces and raised the output of molten iron by introducing a new technology in cooperation with the relevant units, and manufactured a carbonic acid gas generator necessary for the process for producing concentrate transport pipelines by itself.
The Chollima Steel Complex lays a new foundation for producing reduced iron, while directing efforts to the study of a new variety of steel.
Officials and workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the Unryul Mine and the Hungnam Electrode Factory strive to attain the technological innovation goals planned for this year. -0-
