Pyongyang, September 2 (KCNA) -- The Kaechon City Office for Stocking the River with Fishes in the DPRK released more than 10 000 young mandarin fishes in Lake Yonphung.
As the period of maturity of adult mandarin fishes are different, the office laid a foundation for increasing productivity by introducing an egg-laying stimulant in a scientific way and finding and taking measures for unreasonable elements in hatching.
And it used groundwater to ensure water quality and water temperature suitable for the growth conditions of mandarin fishes, thus increasing the survival rate and weight ratio.
It secured seed fishes and pushed ahead with fish farming according to the kinds of fishes as required by technical regulations to raise many fishes for feed. -0-
