Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, the Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the DPRK is producing advanced agricultural sci-tech products for this year's farming.

The Institute of Agro-chemicalization directs efforts to the production of seed-covering material "Phungnyonmo No. 1" and mixed herbicide "Phuljabi No. 5" which contributed to the grain production last year.

The Plant Protection Institute developed a soilless substrate "Saessak No. 1" for cultivating rice seedlings of great significance in putting the rice seedling cultivation on an industrial basis.

The Agricultural Land Resource Institute developed a new fertilizer with the same effect as applying more nitrogen, phosphorus and potassic fertilizers.

The Agricultural Nano-technology Institute is pushing ahead with the production of agrochemical nano-additives capable of reducing the amount of agrochemicals used and increasing the weeding effect. Many other institutes are working hard to produce and supply the agricultural sci-tech products for increasing grain yields. -0-
