Socialist Emulation among Regional-industry Factories in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 15 (KCNA) -- The regional-industry factories built in 20 cities and counties across the DPRK are conducting a socialist emulation drive to improve the quality of products and expand their varieties.

The foodstuff factories in Unpha, Kumya, Hamju and Tongsin counties have upgraded the paste production lines, oil refining lines and bread and biscuit production lines and additionally installed equipment to improve the quality of various kinds of foodstuffs.

The Sukchon County Foodstuff Factory is increasing the variety of special products by introducing advanced technology and experience from light industrial factories in the capital city.

Songchon and Kyongsong county foodstuff factories are increasing the production of new goods by relying on their own raw materials and technical forces.

The daily necessities factories in Kusong City and Kujang, Ichon, Kosan, Jaeryong, Songchon and Usi counties have conducted a technical innovation movement and a socialist emulation drive to improve the quality of laundry soap. Their products were registered as the February 2 Goods. They are also producing various kinds of building materials, wooden goods and school fixtures.

The garment factories in Kosan County, Kusong City, Sukchon, Kumya and Kim Hyong Jik counties have given precedence to designing clothes according to sex, occupations and seasons, conducted technical study, contest among skilled workers and show of products to ensure the quality of various kinds of garments on a high level.

The achievements made at the regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties serve as the good experience for the regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties inaugurated last year. -0-
