Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Municipality has increased the output of dairy products by 130 percent and boosting the production and storage capacity by three times as compared with the last year by expanding thee foundation for producing dairy products.

As a result, quality dairy products have been supplied to all the children in the municipality on a normal basis, and the children from regions who are receiving medical treatment at preventive and curative institutions.

The work of laying the production and material and technical foundations of the general stockbreeding base in Kangdong County is being pushed forward.

Officials and farmers of the stockbreeding base have increased the milk output by raising the breeding coefficient of dairy cattle and goats and establishing the scientific raising and tending and veterinary and anti-epizootic systems.

This year, dozens of more goat pens have been built and more than 2 000 goats in milk increased. And more than 110 tons of milk powders have been produced in recent two months.

The Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory has expanded its production and storage capacity 3.2 times.

The municipality also takes scientific and practical measures for the growth of dairy products both in quality and quantity including introducing more rational breeding methods and breeding supra-species. -0-
