Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Workers of various mines and smelteries in the mining industrial sector of the DPRK are making collective innovations in the efforts to conclude the year-end drive to produce minerals and nonferrous metals.

Workers and technicians of the Unpha Mine are carrying out their daily plans by applying rational drilling and blasting methods and increasing the mining and transport capacity.

The December 5 Youth Mine secured various kinds of accessories and materials and meticulously managed equipment and improved the technical control, thus raising the rate of carrying out the plan, and introduced valuable inventions to guarantee the quality of products.

The Hyesan Youth Mine secured many cutting faces by concentrating on deep development and pit construction, improved the performance of rock drills and vertical lifts and increased the dressing capacity.

The Songchon Mine is increasing the daily output while taking measures for normal operation of ore-dressing and winching equipment, and the Yongyu, Phungnyon and Jungsan mines are concentrating on improving the quality indices of apatite concentrates.

The workers and technicians of the Munphyong and Manpho smelteries are carrying out their index plans by solving technical problems arising in increasing the actual extract rate and ensuring the smooth production processes and ensuring the prompt transport of concentrates. -0-
