Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Officials and employees of the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory in the DPRK have made progress in boosting the quality and quantity of products.

While conducting the education in the leadership exploits of the Workers' Party of Korea, the factory organized and directed a campaign to modernize equipment at a high level and produce more quality leather shoes.

It added thousands of pieces of data to the database of its sci-tech learning space and ensured its regular operation, thus raising the technical skills of employees.

It installed several robots and many parts on the shoemaking line and completed the technical upgrading of the line planned for this year, thus automating the work of gluing the outer rims and insoles of shoes.

It made several technical innovations, including the introduction of a dust collecting device into the scrap grinder.

The factory has developed more than 90 pieces of new products this year, holding a workshop on designing and a product show more than twice a month. -0-
