Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- A week of film show opened in the DPRK to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

During the week, cinemas and cultural houses across the country will show the documentary film "Ideal Street of People Built with Great Desire" (3) "Construction of 10 000 Flats at Second Stage in Hwasong Area" dealing with the changed appearance of the DPRK making a leap forward, making signal miracles under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

They will also show Korean feature films dealing with the exploits performed by the peerlessly great men in founding and developing the WPK including "The Sun of the Nation", "A Single Heart", "We Will Follow You to the End of the Earth" and "The Ten Party Members Today".

The opening ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Oct. 5.

Present at the ceremony were Choe Hak Gun, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, creators and artistes in the film-making sector and working people here.

There was a speech at the opening ceremony.
