Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- Coal mines across the DPRK carried out their production plans in January 1.

The February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine and the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine under the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex introduced an efficient blasting method and increased the operation rate of equipment.

The Namdok, Inpho and Songnam youth coal mines under the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex have contributed to producing 100 more tons of coal than its plan on the first day.

Similar successes have been made at the Tukjang, Kaechon and Tokchon area coal mining complexes. -0-
