Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Matches of group H for the qualification for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup took place in Tajikistan.

The matches were held in league matches, divided into eight groups. Eight teams which won the first place in each group and the top three teams in the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup will advance into the final tournament, together with the team of the host nation.

The DPRK team took the first place in its group by beating the Tajik and Palestinian teams 10:0 respectively on June 29 and July 2 and the Malaysian team 6:0 on July 5. So, the DPRK team was qualified for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup.

Meanwhile, DPRK players Jon Ju Phyong and Jo Hong Rim took the third place in the U-19 mixed doubles of the 29thAsian Youth Table Tennis Championships held in Uzbekistan. -0-
