Taean Electric Appliances Factory Marks Its Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- The Taean Electric Appliances Factory in the DPRK marked its 80th founding anniversary.

On November 5, 1945, President Kim Il Sung set the site of the factory and energetically led the work to consolidate the foundation of the electrical machinery industry, while giving field guidance at it.

In December 1961, Kim Il Sung took a revolutionary measure to establish a new industrial management system of the Korean style and showed the great trust to the factory so that it becomes a model of the whole country in production and management activities.

Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the factory several times and gave precious instructions for the factory to add eternal luster to the immortal leadership exploits of Kim Il Sung who created the Taean work system and take the lead at all times in carrying out the three revolutions-ideological, technological and cultural.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clearly indicated the orientation and ways for the factory which is taking an important part in the electrical machinery industrial development of the country and put forward the workers of the factory in the vanguard of the struggle for implementing the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The workers of the factory have made achievements in the production of electrical machines for the past 80 years, thus contributing to building an economic power and improving the people's living standard.

A meeting was held at the Cultural Hall of the Taean Heavy Machine Complex on November 4.

Attending the meeting were Ma Hyok Chol, chief secretary of the Taean District Committee (Taean Heavy Machine Complex) of the WPK, officials and employees of the factory. -0-
