Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- National sci-tech presentations in the fields of chemical industry and construction took place in the DPRK from August 26 to 29.

The national sci-tech presentation in the field of chemical Industry held under the sponsorship of the Korean Association of Chemical Industry of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea highly appreciated the proposal for a melamine monomer production line.

Present at the national sci-tech presentation in the field of construction held under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the Architects Union of Korea were officials, teachers, researchers and designers of the State Academy of Sciences, the Pyongyang Municipal Design Institute and Pyongyang University of Architecture.

Discussion and question-and-answer sessions for more than 210 papers studied and completed in the course of thinking and quest took place at the presentation. It served as a significant occasion in ensuring the perfection of construction and realizing the self-sufficiency of building materials.

During the period there were a lecture on the technology of producing nitrogenous fertilizer by natural gas, a presentation of experience gained in prefabricated construction and a video show on the data of construction trend. -0-
