Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is rendering material and moral assistance to the educational sector.

The Party and government bodies in the province, cities and counties are intensifying an organizational and political work to improve the level of educational development in the region.

The remodeling of Sinuiju Cha Kwang Su University of Education is being progressed apace and Ponbu Primary School in Sinuiju City affiliated to Sinuiju Teacher Training College has been remodeled.

Thaechon and Unsan counties have provided cement, steel, timber and other materials to the mountainous sub-schools on the basis of learning about their actual conditions, thus pushing ahead with the planned projects.

The city of Sinuiju and Kujang and Sonchon counties have provided schools with modern educational equipment and furniture. They are also paying attention to the teachers’ living conditions.

The same is true of the cities of Jongju and Kusong and Kwaksan County.

The provincial people’s committee and the provincial telecommunications management bureau are conducting a brisk mass movement to further consolidate the material and technical foundations of the educational sector. -0-
