Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is focusing on scientific researches for the development of regional economy and the improvement of people's living.

Scientists and technicians of the manufactory of high-tech goods under the provincial science and technology commission and the provincial industrial technology institute have stepped up the manufacture and remodeling of equipment necessary for putting the production at industrial establishments including the Sariwon Steel Works and the Sariwon Tannery on a normal footing.

The Kyongam Building Materials Factory and the Sariwon Aeguk Essential Plastic Goods Factory have made sci-tech achievements helpful to developing new products, improving their quality and revitalizing the production.

Three-revolution team members, active at the provincial power transmission and distribution station and the Sariwon Bag Factory and in Junghwa County, manufactured devices helpful to raising the power-factor.

Hwangju, Yonthan and Singye counties have striven to settle the knotty problems arising in expanding the variety of products at regional-industry factories and consolidating the foundation for production of building materials and in farming. -0-
