Meeting of Agricultural Workers Held

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) held a meeting in Jaeryong County on March 13 to vow to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present there were Min Sung Chol, vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials of the UAWK Central Committee, officials concerned and agricultural workers in Jaeryong County.

Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a speech.

The speaker referred to the fact that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified the long-term plans and practical programme for further strengthening the overall might of our state and putting our style socialist construction on a steadfast orbit of prosperity at the historic Ninth Party Congress.

He stressed the need for the UAWK organizations to arouse the creative initiative of their members and actively launch various mass movements to create miracles and innovations at the forefront in defending socialism.

He ardently called for redoubling the patriotic enthusiasm and fighting spirit and more dynamically struggling for the brilliant implementation of the decisions of the Ninth Party Congress and the prosperity and development of the glorious DPRK.

Speeches were made.

A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
