Lecturers and Primary Information Workers Tour Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt Paektu

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- Chief lecturers and primary information workers of the women's union in the DPRK made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu from August 1 to 8.

They toured the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site, the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site, Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs and the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site.

Visiting the Paektusan Secret Camp, they recalled the noble revolutionary careers of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il before the headquarters log cabin and Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the camp.

They went round the trees bearing slogans, weapons repair shop, sewing shop, publishing house and hospital.

They climbed the top of Mt Paektu.

During their march, they conducted colorful political and cultural work and visited the Samjiyon Blueberry Drink Factory and the Samjiyon Schoolchildren's Palace.

At the construction site of the Samjiyon mountainous tourist resort, they conducted a contest of explaining the greatness of the peerlessly great persons to encourage the builders to perform feats.

They held an oath-taking meeting at the plaza before the statue of Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon City. -0-
