Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- Many monumental edifices of the era have been built in Pyongyang for over ten years thanks to the great golden age of construction ushered in by the Workers' Party of Korea.

Changjon Street is one of them.

Changjon Street in the Mansudae area is associated with the devoted efforts of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un for the people.

One day in May 2012, the respected Comrade General Secretary visited Changjon Street nearing completion and acquainted himself with the construction state. He indicated the tasks to be kept as guidelines in sprucing up the capital city of Pyongyang in a more magnificent way as required by the new era.

Some days later, he visited the street again and looked round newly-built Changjon Primary School, Kyongsang Nursery and Kyongsang Kindergarten, taking relevant measures for constructing them perfectly.

Then he visited the children's department store and said that an indoor play area for children should be arranged at the department store. When visiting the skyscraper and high-rise apartment buildings, he acquainted himself in detail with the size of the living room, the usefulness of scullery and the ventilation of the store and even draught coming in through the chinks in a window of veranda.

In early September, a few months later, he visited homes of working people who moved into new houses in Changjon Street and warmly congratulated them.

The street where formative art was applied to apartment buildings, the People's Theatre, the children's department store and other facilities tells the loving care shown by the benevolent fatherly leader. -0-
