Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- Thanks to the grand plan of the Workers' Party of Korea for capital city construction, new streets for the people are being built in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, one after another, demonstrating the national power and socialist civilization.

Among them is Mirae Scientists Street which was inaugurated in November 2015.

The street, built on the bank of the picturesque Taedong River, has tower- and group-type high-rise and super-high-rise apartment houses with thousands of flats, numbers of public buildings, commercial, public catering and public service establishments, resting places and sports parks.

It is a street of love provided under the benevolence of the WPK which puts forward the educators and scientists as genuine patriots and revolutionaries and provides them with all happiness.

Giving field guidance at the construction site of the apartment houses for educators of Kim Chaek University of Technology in May 2014, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un unfolded a grand plan to build a modern scientists street on the bank of the Taedong River and named the street to be newly built "Mirae Scientists Street".

He personally examined 590-odd street layouts and when visiting the construction site, he noted that all the structures should be built in a unique way so that they can be symbolic of the street of scientists while preserving their peculiar features and appearances.

Looking round the completed Mirae Scientists Street, he said that the more he saw the street, the more wonderful and magnificent it looked and it visually showed the WPK's idea of attaching importance to science and talents.

Picturing the ordinary educators and scientists who would live at the palace-like dwelling houses free of charge, he said this is the advantage of our socialist system that capitalism can neither imitate nor make.

The street is now full of joy and happiness of ordinary educators and scientists, and they are contributing to the prosperity and development of the country with the honor and pride of being educators and scientists of a great era.

Mirae Scientists Street representing the WPK's idea of attaching importance to science and talents is a pride of a prosperous socialist country. -0-
