Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- The Hyesan Railway Branch Bureau of the DPRK is making innovation in the freight transport while strengthening the material and technical foundations.

The branch bureau has intensified technical guidance to enhance the strength of concrete sleepers.

In keeping with the mass production of sleepers, its trackmen's teams are stepping up the project to ensure the stability of railways and replace the existing rails with heavy ones.

The employees of the Wiyon Service Brigade of Engine have raised the locomotive operation rate 1.3 times as against the same period of last year.
