Pyongyang, April 9 (KCNA) -- The National Symposium on Medical Science-2026 took place at the Sci-Tech Complex from April 6 to 8 under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea.

The symposium was held, divided into the panels of hygienic and anti-epidemics, Koryo medicine, surgery, internal medicine, basic medicine and pharmacy. Present there were scientists, researchers, teachers and medical workers in the public health sector.

The symposium heard valuable research findings made in the course of further improving the quality of medical service and solving scientific and technological problems arising in public health practice.

The participants were interested in the papers reflecting the successes and experience gained in the curative and preventive medical care and hygienic and anti-epidemic work.

The research data conducive to improving the country's medical science and technology and promoting the people's health won popularity.

The papers presented by scientists, researchers, teachers and medical workers of the Central Disease Prevention and Control Center, the Academy of Medical Science, the Korean General Red Cross Hospital, the Koryo Medicine General Hospital, the Kim Man Yu Hospital, the Ryugyong Dental Hospital and Pyongyang University of Medicine were appreciated for their great practical significance at the symposium. -0-
